How are you feeling?

Why should we care about our gut? Ask yourself how you feel right now. How is your energy,
mood, and cognitive function? This is where the gut microbiome plays a major key role, but
sadly our gut health has been negatively impacted by our modern day lifestyles, chronic
stress, poor sleep, lack of exercise and a diet high in sugar, fats, and ultra-processed foods
and low fibre, which can be detrimental to the microbial diversity in the gut.

This complex live eco system

This is home to trillions of bacteria, including fungi, viruses, and
parasites that live in our gut and make up our individual gut ‘microbiome’ or microbes as they
are better known. It sounds pretty grim, but they are actually the good guys and without
them, we simply wouldn’t exist. Recent studies have linked the gut microbiome to a ‘second
brain’ within our bodies, and all those live microbes perform an incredible role in how we
function, how we age, and importantly, how we fight disease. Now, through numerous
scientific studies, we have a greater understanding of why our diet, mood, sleep, and energy
are the key factors that our gut microbes need to be in good shape to support our health.

Everyone’s microbiome is different

Our diet, medication, genetics, the way we were born, and
our age all play a role in determining which microbes live in our gut. Just like no two
fingerprints are the same, each person’s gut microbiome is unique.

Incredibly, we have as many microbial cells as we have human cells in our body, and that’s
why they have such an impact on our health. We can’t change our genes, but we can
influence our gut microbes. It’s never too late to make that change for a long, happy life.

If you can't do it for yourself, do it for your gut!

Menopause

Menopause is a natural transition, but it comes with changes that can impact your energy, metabolism, and overall well-being. As hormone levels fluctuate, women often experience symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, muscle loss, and a higher risk of osteoporosis. The good news? Nutrition, strength & resistance training are two powerful tools to help you thrive during this stage of life.

Gut Health

Why should we care about our gut? Ask yourself how you feel right now. How is your energy, mood, and cognitive function? Weight Management

A well-balanced diet is key to managing menopause symptoms and supporting long-term health. Prioritising protein helps maintain muscle mass, while calcium and vitamin D strengthen bones. Healthy fats, like omega-3, can support brain function and heart health, and fibre keeps digestion and blood sugar levels stable.
