My Story
My own story started with being diagnosed with coeliac disease in 2013 and in the last seven years dealing with menopausal symptoms too, where my anxiety was magnified leaving me with low confidence and generally feeling overwhelmed. After following a Gluten Free diet for some time, I didn't feel any difference, so I decided to invest in my nutrition and began coaching with the amazing Amanda Hamiton (who is one of the top 5 nutritionists in the UK and author of the famous G Plan Diet).
She helped me understand that those ultra processed foods with added sugar and substitute ingredients, fuelled the fire for other symptoms I was experiencing. Through my training, I'd learned to make better choices and follow a more natural path, and after being retested in 2022 my results came back clear for Coeliac disease. Gluten wasn't the enemy, in the end it was a revelation to see the bigger nutrition picture. It had by no means been a quick fix though, and I had many roller coaster moments.
So, my interest in nutrition, coupled with my career in Beauty Therapy and the importance of exercise through twelve years of ballet training, gave me the drive and focus to train in a subject I'm passionate about a subject that's given me back my self-worth.
